If one is tired of London, one is tired of...well you can fill your own gaps in here...
In fact, you could say I did tire of London, because in 2005 I finally left and moved five thousand miles away to the culture shock known as Davis, California. But London is still my home, my first love, my favourite city. I studied an MA in English, focusing on Medieval London. And like most other Londoners, I was really proud of the way my city dealt with the bomb attacks of July 2005, and refused to give in to fear. this is a great city that has been through a lot in its epic history, and will not cower to cowards.
I have been slowly trying to put a half decent page together here. Already I have a lot of tips for the tourist, as a former tour guide should, but sadly not quite as many photos as I should. However as soon as I can, the pics will come. Slowly. Most of the stories are in the General Tips section. CHECK IT OUT!

DISCOVER how Anne Boleyn lost her head!
SEE what happens if you have thirteen people for dinner at the Savoy!
This is the shield of the City of London. You may not know that there are two cities in Greater London - London ('the City') and Westminster. Effectively, what we call London is in truth a twin city, with lots of small towns and villages conjoined in one large urban sprawl, to make the largest city in Europe. The City shield is interesting as it comprises the cross of St.George and a small red dagger, believed to symbolise the knife used by Mayor William Walworth to kill Wat Tyler, leader of the Peasant's Revolt, in 1381. For more info on London's history, please read my travelogue "From Lud to Livingstone" .
- Pros:it's really big
- Cons:it's too big

We did the Big Bus ride and the free walking tour they offer that evening-a very nice day! (until we were kicked out of a pub)
I just love the way you write your tips ...hmm..hope to see more photo though ( I am a visual person ) , will becoming to London this Sept. Cant wait for Sept .
Living in London is excellent. Bring on summer...
Nice page! For your tube travelogue: I think you could add "when it works..." for the northern line as well, it drives me crazy with all its disruptions and derailments!
lots of fascinating trivia, thanks for sharing!
Amazingly Useful London Tips! Your page is one of the best I've see on VT. I'm incredulous though that the arrow through WIlliam II's neck bounced off of a deer first.
I think this is the most informative London page ! I visited London last year and after reading your tips I need to go back to explore all the other highlights!
Cool site!! Luv the way you put things across!!!!
I enjoyed reading ur "Cor, luvva duck" travelouge. :) Great page...
Wonderfully quirky "real" London page. Can't say I agree with you on everything but then if I did life would be no fun! Wish there were many more pages like this one.
