France, what a place. To many, it is a place of wonder, of beauty, where wine washes down every meal, and difficult problems are solved with a Gallic shrug of the shoulders. To many others it is a place where the word bureaucracy was invented and re-invented, where drivers care little for mere rules, and where national pride is more important than anything, except boules. All of this is true, though a Frenchman would disagree, just because they have the right to. Fair enough.<p>
I spent a year here, teaching English in the Universite de Provence, in Aix-en-Provence in the warm and sunny South, living in the shadow of Mont St.Victoire. When I have my photos scanned, I will share my new experiences on this incredibly diverse country.
