| Stairway in old Dubrovnik |
Dubrovnik is simply wonderful! The old walled city is perfectly situated on the most stunning sea you will ever lay eyes on. If you get in a boat on the waters around the city (a good idea for they can take you to some wonderful places) you will witness that the fish gather around the city to lay eyes on it's lovely walls. Wander the old streets, check out the cloisters of the monasteries, climb the steep stairways around the town and wander around the city walls, take a boat over to the island of Lokrum and visit the ruins of a Benedictine monastary and get great views of the town (also take in some sun and skinny dipping on the nude beach if that's your pleasure), pop into the friendly bars and clubs to enjoy local and foreign tunes, stroll the fish and produce market, marvel at the palaces and eat marvelous delicacies from the sea and land. You can do it all in Dubrovnik! |
