Party Capital of the Gulf

Shot across the water of Dubai
I stayed in brand new hotel, just a short taxi ride from the centre but for the life of me, I can't remember which one - I think it may have been an Ibis.

That gives you an idea what Dubai is all about! We had a cracking couple of nights and found the place fascinating. Loads of different cultures, loads of western influences but it definitely maintained it's own character. We partied all night long and did a lot of shopping which could be in a Souk or in one of the ultra modern malls.

Having stayed in the heat of Oman, Dubai was quite a bit cooler and the cloud cover was actually quite a relief.

Partied too much by the looks of things. Jimmy Dix is at the Movenpick Hotel. Tough luck on the pulling front - you will have to learn Russian! Steve
