Cahuita and the East Coast

Skip the port city of Limon, and travel 50 clicks further south to the village of Cahuita for a national park where you can actually see the wildlife!

Pros:"Beautiful scenery, wildlife, diverse ecology, cheap dining and accomodations, great roads."
Cons:"nothing comes to mind"
In A Nutshell:"Rent a car and do it yourself! Get out of the tourbuses and see the country on your own!"

I spent some time in Cahuita last month and "met" those cheeky monkeys! Your page is very good and full of information. I think I don't need to create mine!

Looks like a fantastic destination. Great wildlife encounters. (yes , feeding can be dangerous , especially growing up males...) Well done. Enjoyed to read the reastaurant tips as well.

Good tips, especially about the wild monkeys. I'm thinking about going to Costa Rica and taking some canopy tours.
