Sairee Beach: Every Night's Like New Year's Eve on Sairee!

Sairee Beach has it all for party seekers... bars and clubs some with live music and DJs, other places have pool tables if you're not aiming at other horizontal "stick and ball" games.. ahem ahem...

Some of the more popular spots are AC Party Pub, In Touch Beach Bar, The Deck, Dry Bar, Dragon Bar, Maya Bar... just start on one end of the beach and move along... if you can move at all after a while ;)))

Now... i wonder if there's a water fountain somewhere around here???

Just wanted to throw in another photo of creative sand sculptures I found on Sairee Beach that New Year's Eve...

I couldn't really quite make out what it was ... anyone out there can help me? ;)))

Behind One Of The Bars, Sairee Beach: Well When I Said I Was Thirsty...!

Sigh.. what can I say that hasn't already been said about this photo!

Thanks to Jenniferchin (!!), half of VT has seen this massive soap dispenser, asparagus shoot, big sausage, creative "sculpture" etc.. standing proud and firmly erected in a bed of cement!

I can't even tell you where exactly this was, since we were stumbling around the bars looking for the toilets... but when I came upon it, it was a very uplifting experience indeed! Other photos in my album show how I thought it was a water fountain, with me bent over it holding on to the sides to search for a button to press... but you'll have to come over to my house to see that for yourself since I'm told VT is a family website!!! ;)

Big Buddha View: New Year's Eve.. Koh Tao Style!!

This was actually in the Big Bubbles Dive Center... Koh Tao being such a small island so everyone knows everyone else after a while, especially in your own little stretch of beach...

So it was sort of agreed that New Year's Eve would start off with a fantastic eat-all-you-can buffet spread at the View Point Bungalows restaurant (and much credit to Mu, the Burmese girl in charge of admin & organisation)... along with side helpings of "all natural herbs and ingredients" from fellow travellers...

Then we moved to the Big Bubbles lounge... for some dancing and chilling and letting rip our own fireworks on the beach at midnight!!

After that... most people moved on to Sairee Beach, which was the really happening party stretch of beach on the other side of the island.
