Spring by Robert McCracken
Today is the day when bold kites fly,
When cumulus clouds roar across the sky.
When robins return, when children cheer,
When light rain beckons spring to appear.
Today is the day when daffodils bloom,
When children pick to fill the room.
Today is the day when grasses green,
When leaves burst forth for spring to be seen. |
Even though I have to admit that spring isn't my favourite season (rain & mud), it means that summer is the next season, and so I am extremely excited to see it here. This past winter was one of the worst we've seen in years as far as snow fall, and it just wouldn't go away! Finally, it's time to move on from 2 major snowstorms a week to double digit temperatures above zero! YAY! |
