Fascinating city, stunning architecture, simply a | City of London from the London Eye |
London was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The people were charming and helpful. Best advice I found was related to transportation and purchasing a Visitor Travelcard before leaving the states.
Kew Gardens was a must see a lived up to its beautiful reputation. Westminster Abbey was breathtaking, absolutely my favorite sightseeing attraction. I rode the London Eye on a clear day and enjoyed the view of the city.
Jack-the-Ripper Tour was interesting but I question if my time would have been better spent enjoying a pint at the nearest pub.
The Historic and Modern Tour (Golden tours) was a waste of time and money (60 BPS). I should have heeded the advice of the other VTers and hopped on a “Hop on / off bus” for half the price and probably better information about the city.
The food hall at Harrods was amazing but I have to say that Fortnum & Mason had a better tea collection. |
