The Vancouver Lifestyle

HOME
Vancouver was once named the best place in the world to live. I'm not sure if it's still considered the best place to live by those people that called it that..but to me, it will always be home.

Why Vancouver?

Well..because Vancouver has a bit of everything. It really is a great place to work and play. It's a big city, with great big businesses, awesome shopping, cultural events, etc. And yet it's also very nature oriented. It has tons of parks...lots of outdoor sports for adventure seekers. It's also very liberal. It's a very tolerant and accepting city. Gay marriage is legal and marijuana is legal( well, kinda...people turn a blind eye).
My favorite hockey player

HOCKEY

OK, to those who live in Canada, you all know that there is a hockey lock out going on right now. But I can't talk about Vancouver and not talk about hockey. Hockey is a way of life here in Vancouver( and all of Canada)! Canadians love their hockey! It is like football or baseball to the americans, or soccer to the europeans. I can't explain why..but to Canadians, hockey is the best, most exciting game there is! That picture is my favorite hockey player by the way..and he's not Canadian! He's FINNISH player Jarkko Ruutu !

Vancouver's Famous Chinatown

Mosaic

Vancouver (or Canada) is referred to as a mosaic. This is because Vancouver is very multicultural. Everyone from different parts of the world migrate here, because it is a place of tolerance and acceptance. All cultures shine, painting one beautiful picture that is Canada. Thus, the term "mosaic"
