Since Seattle is only about a 3 hour drive from Vancouver, it is a great destination for us to have a quick getaway. Whenever my friends and I are in search of something exciting, and we don't have much money, but don't want to stay in Vancouver, Seattle is always a top option.
Like Vancouver, Seattle is also a city of contrasts. You are surrounded by nature with the ocean and mountains in plain view. However, you also feel like you are in a very progressive, cosmopolitan city because of all the tall buildings, great stores, and wonderful markets.
Pike Place Market is Seattle's most famous public market. This place has a wonderful variety of items for sale from flowers, different types of food, shirts, jewelry, and the famous fish vendors that throw their fish to each other!
Pike Place is also home to the worlds very first Starbucks coffee shop!
The Seattle space needle is no doubt Seattle's most famous landmark.
On top of the landmark are souveneir shops galore! There are mini space needles for sale, t-shirts, figurines, etc. There is also food for sale and a restaurant.
- Pros:great shopping and coffee!
- Cons:traffic
- In a nutshell:you will never run out of things to do

Nice page, I also felt the same way about Vancouver when I lived in Seattle.
