  • I was only in London for 2 days, but I'm glad I didn't miss seeing Piccadilly Circus at night! I'm embarassed to admit that on my first night in London, I did the usual tourist thing and went on one of those double decker bus tours. But I'm glad I did because I got to see how exciting Piccadilly really is! It is so vibrant and full of energy...the lights, the people, the clubs...it was amazing!

Palace of Westminster ("Houses of Parliament"): Walking around Parliament Square

  • Walking around this area is exciting because everything is so close together. Within walking distance you can see Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, etc. There's also the cool tourist stands that sell all the typical stuff that you hear about...everything that they can stick the flag on, they sell! I wouldn't recommend buying souvenirs in these stands...but it's cool to see nonetheless.

City of London: Not a must see...just cool

    Buckingham Palace: Ahhh...Buckingham Palace
  • Tip Rating:
  • Even if you don't see the changing of the guards or whatever...save this activity til last because this is a really cool place to relax. Just sitting in front of the palace gates and people watching is a really great way to live in the moment and take in the fact that you've been lucky enough to travel and see this beautiful city. There is also a park where you can lay out and take a nap!

Things To Do: Double Decker buses
  • Tip Rating:
  • Even though riding one of these buses is a very touristy thing to do, I actually found it very helpful. On our first day in London, we decided to ride one of these buses. I found it very informative and a great way to introduce yourself to the city. You get a feel of how the city is laid out and where everything is. It's also very inexpensive.

Nice to see you had some fun in London. It is very expensive and also very over crowded here. Good page ~Fen
