Milano!

Don't go in August!

the infamous pigeons
One mistake I made was that I went to Milan in August! The city was a ghost town. It was absolutely empty. I was crushed because I was looking forward to all the great Italian food I was going to eat, but soon found out that most of the restaurants are closed during this time. Most of the locals are gone. The roads are completely empty. So, this ruined my experience. I would go back here again, but definitely not in August!
after a tired day of shopping

Shopping

Even though most of the restaurants were closed, the wonderful stores were still open. Before I left for my trip, I promised myself that I would leave enough money to have be able to shop in Milan, and I'm glad I did. The designer stores are great! And the sales people really have great taste and suggestions! This is a shopper's paradise!
very intricate architecture

Architecture

Even though most of the locals were gone, I was glad that I was still able to appreciate the great architecture of Milan. Everywhere you turn is picture perfect!

Pros:"SHOPPING!"
Cons:"Very very hot in August."
In A Nutshell:"It was beautiful, but don't go during summer!"

I haven't know that it's empty in Milan in August. But on the other hand it's great, as you won't bump into a crowd of tourists at every corner;-)
