The Great Escape

Oh I am in love with Ko Tao. Need I say more. Been there twice and still yearning for yet another trip to Turtle Island.

If you are looking for an idyllic island with friendly people, laidback atmosphere, great diving and snorkelling, then Ko Tao it is!

Ko Tao has all the necessary ameneties and travellers basic needs like internet, air ticketing, autoroaming mobile services and even a few resorts. Yet, it still succesfully retains its rustic charm in the midst of all this construciton and development.

Situated near Ko Phangan so if Tao gets too quiet for you or if you just feel like partying, hop onto a ferry and head over to Phangan :)

Pros and Cons

Pros:Serene, tranquil, people are friendly.
Cons:Some places are really difficult to reach except by longtail boat. There should definitely be more roads inplace of dirt tracks.
In a nutshell:The great escape, without being totally cut off from the rest of the world and civilisation.
