Even if you do not like shopping, you might want to visit this Victoria Market. The Market has many little souvenir shops as well as nice cafes/small restaurants. It's nice just to walk around and have a nice stop in one of the cafes.

I love arts, so I usually take an opportunity to visit the art gallery when traveling. Auckland Art Gallery has an interesting collection of paintings and other kind of arts. I like the paintings/photos of the Maori leaders. When I went to the museum, I also saw an interesting exhibition of fashion arts (old style clothes). You can purchase some postcards and posters from the gallery store.

Queen street or downtown area is a nice place to walk around and shop around. Even if you do not want to buy the items, you may enjoy looking around some antique stores, souvenir stores, fashion stores, and much more.
