When I think about New Zealand, I always think about the Kiwi bird, Kiwi fruit, and the Maori people. Now, this country also reminds me of the great movie The Lord of The Rings.
About Auckland:
It's a nice town - clean & peaceful, and the people are friendly.
I think some parts of the city looks like San Francisco - up & down the hills with beautiful beach.
North Island is nice. On my trip to New Zealand, I visited Auckland, Rotorua, and Taupo. |
|  | Lake Taupo Beautiful lake and pleasant surrounding areas. There was a lady who owned a boat and organized a short boat ride called "lunch on board". Together with 2 other persons, we went around the lake, and we were served our lunch on board. We also saw a big stone craved with Maori's typical craving style in one side of the lake. It was really a great experience! |
| | Maori people When visiting Whakarewarewa, I saw these two Maori girls practicing the dancing. So I asked their permission to take the photo. First they were shy, but I persuaded them. Thanks to the girls. |

Nice start! My wife and I spent a great night at the Sky Tower when we visited Auckland. The view was spectacular and the restaurant was fantastic. I look forward to more pics and tips! G'day from Australia. |
