Old Montreal- a bit of Europe in North America
Montreal is a slice of Europe in North America. It's a city that knows how to live. Montreal abounds with outdoor terraces, where you can eat, drink and just hang out. Take a walk on St. Catherines Street, and check out the stores. Check out Old Montreal-it's a must. At night, the bars and clubs light up for you. And if you forgot your high school French like I did, no worries-English is widely spoken, especially in stores (though who can resist taking their French out for a test drive!)

Montreal is only a 90 minute flight from my home in New York-who knew such an amazing place was so close to me. I know now, and can't wait to go back someday.

Say "bonjour", and take in Montreal!

Pros:"Too many to think of just a few"
Cons:"A bit hilly for walking in spots, but mass transit is everywhere"
In A Nutshell:"North American joie de vive!!!"

You know, me and Bentley keep saying, we visit other countries and not our own - we should do that sometime! I'd love to go to Montreal one day... its on my to-do list!

I enjoyed your Montreal page, Steve: one of those places that I'd like to visit (hopefully some time soon).
