One bad sunburn, so many great memories

by spgood301 - last update: Jan 10, 2007

When I first heard of a VT weekend in St. Augustine I though, "yeah, I'm in". Fun in the sun with some of the best people you'll ever meet. The laughs we had and the memories we made will last forever. Well, long after my sunburn goes away. I hope, anyway.

I did learn a few things in St. Augustine:

* Guinness tastes pretty d@mn good at the beach

* The Florida sun can be a little strong. Especially in August

* Kayaking is much harder than it looks on TV

* Baby alligators aren't always easy to spot in the water. At least for me.

* Doing the jitterbug in a classy cigar bar can be quite fun

* Boating doesn't always make me seasick. In fact, it can be quite a trip

* St. Augustine is America's oldest city. Hey, I knew that already!

I figured I'd start you out with a picture of St. Augustine's beauty. Tips are a comin' too - I hope you find them useful. I was having way too much fun to remember what I was doing, & where I was doing it.

Now, read on for the weekend of a lifetime.

Pros:"What DIDN'T we do that weekend?"
Cons:"The sun can be a little strong. I recommend SPF 200. And lots of it!"
In A Nutshell:"So, when's the next trip? Maybe in January?"
