The University of Nebraska

For those who like to visit college campuses, like me, you might enjoy a stroll through the University of Nebraska. Should you visit in the fall, you might even attempt to get a ticket to a Husker football or volleyball game. However, all these tickets are already sold out and you would have to bargain with a scalper. Still, it might be worth it, there is nothing like a Husker home game, it is quite an experience.
The main campus is located 2 or 3 blocks north of "O" Street (the main east-west street) and between 10th and 17th streets.

The James Arthur Vinyards

This is quite a contrast to Husker football, but a short drive into the country puts you into a very nice vinyard. Take I-80 west to the NW 48th St. exit. Go North on NW 48th St. until you hit highway 34. Go left and take 34 until you reach Hwy. 79. Go north on 79 (the sign will say "to Valparaiso) until you reach Raymond Road (the flashing yellow light). On Raymond Rd. take a right and go east for 2.6 miles. The winery is located on the right (south) side of the road.
