"WELCOME" Doniphan by Rich62

DONIPHAN IS LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF HIGHWAY 281, ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 at the Grand Island/Hastings Exit. When you get to the stoplight on highway 281, turn east and you are there.

Doniphan is, in part, a bedroom community for Grand Island and, to a lesser extent, Hastings. Hastings is south of Doniphan on 281.

But it is also a community in its own right.

CHURCH WINDOW

THIS IS A WINDOW IN THE ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN DONIPHAN. IT IS LOCATED ON 4TH AVE. (OR 4TH STREET). THERE IS ALSO A METHODIST CHURCH IN TOWN, and probably several others. Doniphan has about 800 residents.

HOME SWEET HOME

THIS IS a nice home in the Doniphan area. Actually it is two miles west of town.

• Cons:THIS TOWN HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH TEENAGERS RUNNING THE STREETS.
