Blue Hill is a nice small town in south-central Nebraska. About 900 people call it home. It is located on highway 281 about 20 miles south of Hastings or about 40 miles south of Interstate 80 at the Grand Island/Hastings exit.

The old Blue Hill School looks like a fortress that could withstand tornadoes or whatever you could hurl at it. It is a magnificent brick symbol of days gone by.

• Pros:Lots of shade trees, nice homes, a good downtown
• Cons:its well off the beaten path, if thats a bad thing
• In a nutshell:a very nice town
