    • Drive, Bike or Walk the streets of Georgetown just to see what you can see. Wonderful architecture and colors abound. Something interesting just down the block............

    • We enjoy visiting colleges and universities when we travel, so we made a stop at Georgetown U. The older buildings are very interesting architecturally; they almost look like castles.

    Our one warning is that parking on the Georgetown campus is scarce and a bit expensive. So be prepared.

    Directions: While I don't know the address, it would be hard to miss; just look for the huge grey castle-like buildings. In general, it would be west of the north end of the Key Bridge, and north of M Street. That's the best I can do.

    • The Dean & Deluca store is interesting to visit. Their produce section is exceptional. In the back is an extensive wine selection. Many unusual food items for sale.

    Directions: Between 31St. St. and Wisconsin Avenue, north of the Whitehurst Freeway just two or three blocks.
