Nightlife Spot: THE 16TH STREET MALL
AN ENTIRE MILE OF 16TH STREET DOWNTOWN HAS BEEN CLOSED TO AUTO TRAFFIC and converted to a pedestrian mall. This was a $76 million dollar project. As a result, it has become an "in" spot in Denver, with lots of shops and restaurants.
Of course you can visit during the day, but it really starts jumping at night. Some say it is Denver's best "people watching" spot.
You will have to put up with the usual urban "Freak Show" on the streets, with small groups of teenagers trying to look as outrageous as possible.
All my photos were taken during the daytime, and even before stores were open, hence there were few people on the street. So you will have to use your imagination just a bit.

Theme: People Watching
Dress Code: YOU WILL SEE PEOPLE DRESSED IN EVERY IMAGINABLE WAY. We were dining at a nice Italian restaurant (see my restaurant tips) where casual but "nice" standards of clothing were dominant, but otherwise, anything goes.
