"TINA'S TOUR" tina4smart's Profile
Nothing could be as colourful as riding through this diverse landscape: the tropical rainforest and coastal plains of the south, the sahel savannah of the north, the temperate winter of Jos, and the rocky highlands of the middle belt.
In the country of nations, Nigeria is an important centre for biodiversity. These areas surrounding Calabar in Cross River State, for example, are generally thought to contain the world’s largest of butterflies.
As diverse as the landscape and the flora, and fauna are the people; their outlook, t heir cultures and languages. Nigeria is a nation with 250 ethnic nationalities and 521 languages, and the home of such very varied and vibrant musical expressions as fuji, afrobeat, juju, highlife, and rokon fada. But therein is their strength. No single tradition monopolizes the truth.
The sea is full of rocks. On those rocks covered with a lot algaes and on some are covered with mussels. It is just beautifl. Wonder of Nature.
For hose who love mussels, it a nice place to visit and the water of the see is really cold ... and i don't know if it was beacause of the weather of not...

THE EGWU-OGBA FESTIVAL
The Egwu-Ogba festival is the rallying icon for the Egi people of Rivers State south east Nigeria. Celebrated with considerable enthusiasm by the half a million Egi indigenes in August every year. The festival is as old as the history of the people which dates back to the early part of the 15th century. The highpoint of the festival is the purging fire which every kindred family owns. Put on full display during he festivities. It symbolizes cleansing of the community from evil influences.
CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL, MARINA
This is a masterpiece of the 18th century Brazilian and Sierra-Leonean architecture. Constructed in the early 1920s, its medieval arches, well-proportioned porches and ornamental parapets bear down on the sights of the Marina, Lagos, imposing a regal ambience that holds a rich tapestry of history, culture and religion within its kingly precints. It is a befitting contribution of Church of Nigeria ( Anglican Communion ) to the architectural landscape of Lagos
