"Chillan Heart" Chillán by Upward

Chillán Travel Guide: 20 reviews and 54 photos

Chillan was a great trip and although I didn't spend any time in the city, the countryside was a welcome relief from the bustle of downtown Santiago. The air was clean and the weather was perfect in August.
Renting a cabin is definitely the way to go because it keeps you out of overpriced and overcrowded hotels. This place would be a perfect vacation home for someone living in Chile.

Two story cabin with deck, stream in the back.

We're planning a trip to Termas de chillan in February--your tips are good. Is this the same area?

the Grill Master draws long shadows over 'sausage' I think, I would like it here, though will stick to the roasted veggies!

"Ski down a volcano, rent a cabin, grill meat" - I hope that meat wasn't one of your mangled limbs from skiing ;-)

Remember: if La Serena means "pisco" (see the page about), Chillán means "sausages", don't ya? Did you went to Garganta del Diablo, around the Termas? There's free accomodation up there.
