Due to a stopover I got the possibility to visit Jordan. Unfortunately I had only 3 days, so I had a very tightened program and I had to forego some great attractions, which would also be worth a visit. So I rented a car and went down the King's Highway to Petra to visit this UNESCO world heritage sight. I also made a trip to the Dead Sea to experience it's hypersaline water. To be honest I was not sure, what was expecting me. It was my first far-away travel without someones company. |
My Impressions: I really was overwhelmed. Petra is an astonishing sight and I marvelled every single stone there for 2 days. Apart from the man-made sights I liked Jordan's beautiful landscape too, but what me surprised most was the friendlyness of the locals. I really experienced bedouine hospitality and I never met so many helpful people than in Jordan. |
My programm: Day 1: Amman, Dead Sea Day 2: King's Highway, Petra Day 3: Petra |
