"My Lisbon" a Lisbon Travel Page by schmechi

I got a city flight of my choice as a present for the final degree of my law studies at the university. So I spontaneously decided to visit Lisbon, although I was warned that the weather could be a spoilsport in late November.
I expected to have a good time with my dad and see some sights, as a historical intrested person I also liked to learn about the Portuguese seafaring past.
And finally I wanted to visit a football match of their most famous team, Benfica.

My Impressions

I was surprised twice: Lisbon showcased its friendliest face to me and surpassed all expectations: Really nice weather and a lots of very interesting sights.

First of all I enjoyed the more bland climate than in cold Vienna. It was pretty nice to be able to dine Bacalhau and drink vinho tinto in outside restaurants areas in late November.
Lisbon is a great city for exploring it on foot. I like this small distances, although it was sometimes exhausting due to Lisbon's seven hills.
And I was also satisified due the their famous wines: I never drank so good red wines (vinho tinto) than in Lisbon, but I also never refused their coffee (bica)....
