This is the beautiful village of Elounda. It's a very typical greek fishing village.
Vai - beach is very beautiful and it's on the east coast. It's one of the most popular beaches on Crete. The area is full of naturally grown palm trees. The seeds floated with the sea from Africa.
There are lots of cute (wild) cats on Crete and the other Greek islands I've been to. Usually you see them in restaurants and cafés looking for food.
This one we met at taverna in Knossos. She was really hungry.. :)
- Pros:A friendly and warm, almost tropical, atmosphere. Beautiful landscape.
- Cons:I don't know...too many tourists in June - August
- In a nutshell:Mountains, palm trees, beaches...
