Welcome to Washington DC | Arriving at Washington DC. |
As part of a whistle stop long week-end trip that took in NYC, Niagara Falls and Toronto we visited Washington DC. |
| | The White House. Washington DC is a great place to visit, and a good pair of walking shoes are required to take advantage of the many sites to see. (we only had 2 days!)
Day 1. We visited the Pentagon, White House, Capitol building, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Aerospace Museum etc..................... |
Arlington National Cemetary Day 2 we visited Arlington Cementary. I was a little taken aback at the sheer scale of the place. We visited many burial sites, graves and tombs. It was a little morbid and very thought provoking.
Again we were blessed with great weather. | | | Tomb of the unknowns, Arlington Cemetary. |
