I did not do much in Vancouver. The city seemed like it would be fun to visit but our time was limited. I exchanged some money and we looked for a place to eat. One of the people I was with asked a homeless man where we could find some cheap food. To add to it, the guy had a sign that said "Hungry". Anyway, we found a place to eat and I ordered a philly cheesesteak with American cheese instead of Swiss. To my surprise, the waitress got offended and said "American cheese? Is our cheese not good enough?". They have never heard of American cheese in Vancouver. Go figure. |

What a rude waitress! But you're right about "American cheese"- all that means here is any cheese made in the USA. She probably thought you were bringing patriotism to a whole new level, haha! Anyhow, hope you'll come back and see the real Vancouver. | Ann75 Thu Jan 27, 2005 04:00 UTC
Whistler is a great place! I love it! Did you spent a lot of time there? It's great in the winter and in the summer. Hope you'll get a chance to revisit. |
