Cairns was our third stop during our Australia trip. It is in the tropical north of Australia. We went during Australia's summer, which is jellyfish breeding season, so we could not swim. We took a trip to the rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef, and we went fishing. |

|  | The Town In town there is alot of shopping and alot of places to eat. During dusk, if you look up, there are huge flying foxes which are huge bats. It gets a little creepy when the aboriginal people come out because they are know in the area to steal. I do not want to generalize but from my experience they go out of their way to make you feel uncomfortable. |

| | Fishing My brother and I decided to go on a fishing trip while in Cairns. We started out fishing in a river but we were not getting many bites. We moved closer to the mouth of the river where it meets the ocean and we started catching huge fish. My last catch of the day was a small shark which you can see in the picture up top. |
