Wat Arun, Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok.It is open every day from 8.30am to 5.30pm.This temple can be reached either by Arun Amarin Road or by boat from Tha Tien Pier, near Wat Pho.Admission is 30 baht for tourist and free for Thai people.

The Ubosot Hall (Bot or Ordination Hall) was designed by Prince Naris, a great Thai artist and son of King Mongkut (Rama IV), and built of Italian marble during the reign of King Rama V.It was constructed from Carrara marble from Italy and showing distinct European neo-classical influence. The best time to visit this temple is early in the morning when Buddhist monks are chanting inside the chapel. The main building is open to visitors until 5.00 pm
