In my way to Ras Musandam mu bus made a stop in the corner with Umm Al Qaiwain, where I got off because I wanted to know something more or Umm Al Qaiwain than the main road.
I started to walk until a taxi offered me a ride, but I said that I wanted to walk. The driver, a Pakistani, persuaded me saying that the fortress/museum was very far away and since he had to go there proposed to take me for a few dinars, like a bus ticket, and I accepted.
It was not very far, perhaps 3 kilometers to get to the fortress, a very short distance for me, that I am used to walk a lot, but I was not angry because the driver was very nice.
First the driver stopped for me in front of a big mosque and later on, after showing me on the road other historical palces, he dropped me in front of the fortress where I spent a few hours visiting the places around. When the night fell I slept in a park.
The next morning I took a bus to the main road and continued my journey in direction to Ras Musandam.
