I have spent a lovely week in Socotra.

I flew there from Sanaa for only 110 euro, round trip, via Mukalla.
The hotels are about 5 euro as single, after bargaining. but half of the nights I slept on the beaches, white sand beaches, for free.
Food is good, fish, lobster, fish, lobster... 1 kilo lobster can be bought for 1500 rials, or about 5 euro!
The first day I rested. I was coming from Spain, Barcelna, without stopping via Amman. Second day I visited Diksom, and saw the dragon blood trees. Third day I went to the south. Forth day to the East, Fith day to the west, and the rest 2 days were spent in the capital.
I strongly recommend to visit this island, a real wonder for the endemic plants, animals and the nice people.

These trees belong to the same family of other trees in Tenerife, Canary Islands.

Not a single tourist in 100 kilometres around!
