My travels

by avi888 - last update: Mar 15, 2006

me and my travel plans

Hi all!!

Finally got some time to update this page. Really should spend more time on this.

Anyway, I have finally completed my 3 mths travelling trip. It was awesome. I really had a ball!!

Let me give a brief description of my trip from Dec 2005 to Feb 2006.
1. first stop - Hawaii - terribly sticky weather, very humid. I got the chance to meet Andy (aka Leonik on VT). He was really helpful and kept me company with 1 day and couple of meals.

Hawaii was quite fun, esp with hiring a Moped!! Also loved Hanauma Bay with the snorkling. If I had more time and money, love to go to some of the outer islands in the future.

2. Then I flew to L.A. Also visited San Francisco, Las Vegas. Las Vegas was faboulous with lots of excitement and the shows. I saw the Cirque du Soleil show - KA, was fantastic. I managed to win US$150 !! I took a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon which was fantastic.

Didn't quite like L.A., mainly because of the traffic. Really was crazy!!
San Francisco was quite pretty.

3. Flew to New York, then Connecticut, Boston, Niagara Falls, Toronto.
New York was ok, except I was in the middle of the subway strike. Also wish the subway staff was more helpful with directions.

Niagara Falls was quite amazing, but a daytrip was really enough. I stayed in a cute bed&breakfast called Ambience by the Falls. Its recommended. The lady was quite nice.

I also met David (a fireman from Sydney) and Marie (aka Marie-France) from VT and had lovely meals with each of them.

4. New years even in New York was memorable.
