"Havasu" a Lake Havasu City Travel Page by stappm

We go to Havasu annually for the World Final Jet Ski Races. The last couple of years there are fewer and fewer contestants and a smaller audience as the competition has been weekened by the manufacturer sponsors. The equipment they put out wins the races on it's own so the technique of that particular rider doesn't really come into play (can you say time to separate the class?). They should probably have 2 separate awards nights.... Anyway... I think they are working onit.... and we have a new president of the IJSBA ... so slowly but surely..... Politics aside, the World Finals still draw people from around the world and the Japanese are some of my favorites. Where were you Masao Fujisawa!

We drive about 10-11 hours to get there - Its one of the largest Lakes on the west coast, in a warm climate. The actual London Bridge is here - the London Bridge had to be replaced with a larger one (traffic friendly) and a millionaire in Arizona bought and moved it to the desert?!@#%&. It was moved peice by peice and they even had to build a canal for it to cross...... Apparently they numbered the bricks so it could be reassembeled in the right order and you can actually still see the numbers still on the rocks!

Lake Havasu is in the Desert! They have some of the world's BIG boat manufacturers here - Advantage, Eliminator, Shockwave...... (Big High Performance boats) Aren't they pretty....
