Diwan caught me by surprise. I had already been exposed to its Bulgarian-Russian meaning, namely a sofa and later on I acquired the Polish rendition or carpet. Now I was blown away. This is a Dywan? Still I can see the connection. Indian diwan is the place where you meet dignitaries. Of course it is better than in your stuffy rooms – remember at the time there was no air-conditioning. Except the diwan was naturally air conditioned. The arches on all sides allow air to flow freely through them and the difference in temperature on two opposite sides of the structure make it move – brilliant. For those in Bulgaria, Russia and Poland who cannot afford the real diwan there is consolation prize – sofa or carpet. Your guests would be comfortable in a cozy sofa and the carpet, well – it is better than concrete or hardwood.

Harem is window-shopping, behave!

Some people have it more complicated than it should be. I am the new ruler of South-east Rajastan and I have had very bad times lately fulfilling some crazy requirements of my loved ones. They want to window-shop from the convenience of your own home. They want to do it discreetly and without the pressure of security and overzealous subjects. There is something that is going to work for me too, I have to admit – my precious loved ones will not have to mingle with the riffraff or any cast that is below them. I will also know where exactly they are. How can I tackle this problem? The Wind Palace!

Dear, do you want a lake or mountain top palace?

The harem again is stirring trouble in the palace. I am going to send them to a mountain top, a kilometer or so away and bestow them with the greatest view of my domain. What about this location?
