This restaurant has a exquisite cuisine.

As you can see the name is FRENCH, the ALSACE is a regio in France.

Here it means that the cuisine is half Dutch and half French, an excellent mix.

They have a 4 course dinner which changes every week!

When the weather is fine you can have dinner in the walled city-garden!

The place is situated in a monumental old building that dates back to 1570 !!!!

They serve FRENCH-DUTCH cuisine with an influence of produce of the season.

DE MASTENBAR: ONCE THE SHED FOR THE MASTS (DURING WINTER) NOW

This place used to be the shed where members of the yachting club put their sails and masts and other things during winter when we can't sail here till the start of the new season in April.......after winter.......

Soon it became clear that people loved coming there for ice cream and "frites" and they started restoring and enlarging the building and now it is a wonderful place for:

coffee with cake
quality lunches
quality dinners

or just a "jenevertje" at the bar or on the terrace, depending on the weather...

Favorite Dish: the meals are finest quality
there is room for 150 persons
plenty of place to park your car free of charge
terrace at the waterside
and often.....live music
the atmosphere is great and warm, pleasant, welcoming.

DE ADMIRAAL (THE ADMIRAL): WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT A GREAT PLACE...

This restaurant offers it guests, who arrive tired after a day of sailing and sunbathing, in the evening, a wide choice of fish-, meat- and vegetarian specialities.

And this all in a pleasant, informal atmosphere with an excellent service.

In short: there is nothing better than finishing a pleasant day here....

There is also a terrace where you can enjoy coffee and tea etc. during the day and.....do have lunch there.....so tasteful!

Favorite Dish: The famous DROMEDARIS towers like a beacon above ENKHUIZEN....

DE BOEI (BUOY): WHO MISSES A "BOEI" WILL NOT WIN......

SSSSSSTTTTTTTT, HAUTE CUISINE IN ENKHUIZEN...

CHEF is Mr. Theo van Rensch.
His wife is called: Elly and they both have one thing in mind: QUALITY and nothing but THE BEST QUALITY.

The baker bake's special bread for them and every day fish, meat and vegetables are fresh!

They want to be the best middle-range RESTAURANT of the regio!
Theo & Elly and their staff work very hard, day after day and that shows.....

Favorite Dish: Theo is a Masterchef AND IS THE 1ST IN WEST FRIESLAND who offers Masterchef-menus!

BELLA VITA: ITALIAN FOOD ?? ALWAYS GOOD !!

Gwyneth Beemster & Rick Jong have a very nice place for those among you who love Italian food....(I do !!)

The service is quick and they are friendly people, also willing to explain to you what certain words mean e.g..

Favorite Dish: My favourite dish is GNOCCHI (now I am not sure if I have to type the H....) but you pronounce NOKKY.

Although this dish of filled pasta squares in tomato sauce with all kind of lovely herbs etc. differs widely from place to place the best I ever had was in my own CAPITAL AMSTERDAM, at MARCO POLO, 100 - 200 meters from the Central Railway Station.....

The worst I had in HEIDELBERG once.....and....that was the most expensive to beat it all!!

MARKERWAARD: WORTHY OF YOUR VISIT.....

This restaurant is situated in the very heart of Enkhuizen.
You can walk to the harbours, the mudeums, the sights to see and the Railway Station..all in a few minutes..

Here in this very nice place you can enjoy 3 courses dinners.
With the greates care possible the Chefs have prepared all kinds if delicatessen that the sea and the soil offer us.

You choose a starter, a maincourse and a dessert from our menu and......you always pay the same price, whatever you want to have.

Favorite Dish: This snug and cosy family restaurant is situated in an old warehouse and completely refurbished with many maritime objects and model ships, which brings the fine atmosphere and which is interesting./

Markerwaard can serve small but also large groups up till 160 persons.....(can't think of being Chef there.....)

There is also a terrace with some 80 seats which offers a wonderful view over the Old Harbour and the Dromedaris which you know by now is the big tower with the city-gate.
