Name of Shop: ALL KINDS OF TIP FOR SHOPPING SPREES.....

BARCELONA has always been at the vanguard, as a City, and undoubtedly, is considere one of the World's design Capitals.

No wonder then, that pioneer in the worldwide movement of midernisation and renewal of retailing, the City became a great SHOPPING-CITY in the last few years, with a very complete and competitive offer, very personal and original in lots of sectors.
(Fashion, design-object, typical products etc.)

To go shopping in Barcelona even if you don't buy a thing is a real pleasure for the lively crownd, the helpfulness and friendliness of the shopkeepers, for the shops themselves and for the easiness of a human-sized City where the shopping areas are easily identified, following the FAMOUS SHOPPING-LINE.

Along the "LINE" the shopping areas are easy to define: C.Pelai and Rda. Universitat are quite popular.
Down Pl. Catalunya, the maze of little streets of Portal de l'Angel, Porta Ferrissa and C.del Pi are full of little original and good balue shops.

What To Buy: More chic are Pg. de Gracia, Rbl. Catalunya and adjacent streets as well as Diagonal, from Pg. de Gracia to Pl. Francesc Macia and on, through l'Illa Diagonal up to El Corte Ingles.

Of course you will make even better purchases during special periods, such as Christmas or...during the SALES (REBAJAS / REBAIXES in Catalan)

Music: has traditionally been found at DISCOS Castello and more recently, at the Virgin Mega STORE.

Finally, you will find all this but also electronics and much more at the new COMMERCIAL AND CULTURAL CENTRE of la FNAC (l'Illa Diagonal)

Clothing and SHOES: Spanish casual and elegant clothing is amongst the best these days.
Just take a look at how well dressed the locals are!!

Hoes and especially boots come from the Baleatic Islands and Levant and are of good quality and really good value.

What To Buy: Beautiful Things: you will find the "souvenir stuff" in the little shops at the RAMBLAS.

Also in these shops or at el Corte Ingles, the Barça's fans will find all kinds of things evoking the club.
There is an interesting selection of beautiful objects related to Barcelona at the Tourist Information under Pl. de Catalunya.

Of special interest are Catalan ceramics, traditional as well as trendy ones.
These and other craft works are found at the temporary stands that you will find either down the Ramblas, Portal de l'Angel, Pl. del Pi, at the Cathedral or the Port Olimpic.

Also check the small shops in the old town.
