MY ULM (and DACHAU)PAGE

by eden_teuling - last update: Apr 12, 2004

On the road to BEAUTIFUL, surprisingly nice ULM in the South of Germany.

Driving there from Heidelberg the view of all these yellow fields among the ones in so many nuances of green made my day , really. Such an optimistic sight that they make you forget: sorrows, pain, sadness......

Mixed with the sunlight and reflecting each other's light it was heaven to me!

And the so deepsea blue skies , the trees so lovely summer green......oh, how I enjoyed it all and the surprise was still to come: ULM itself.

Although it was a Saturday all shops and terrasses were open, lots of people were shopping or just enjoying the sun....

I went there to see THE WORLD FAMOUS M?NSTER but there was so much more to see and enjoy.

The atmosphere was friendly and festive as you can see from the photos I took..... SEE TRAVELOGUES!..

Of course, there too, I had my tea in the sun , bought some post cards and books and...........see TRAVELOGUE!!!

I only wanted to tell about the yellow fields here......

Arguably the most influential scientist of the 20th century ALBERT EINSTEIN was born here in ULM in 1879 .

He didn't talk until the age of 3 but showed a brilliant curiosity about nature and an ability to grasp mathematical concepts, even if numbers weren't his forte.
In 1905 he emerged from obscurity (age 26) to rock the scientific world.
At age 76 he died in New Jersey where he, the wild-haired physicist, taught from 1933 until his death
.

PLEASE, FOLLOW ME TO THE TRAVELOGUE, MADE WITH SO MUCH PLEASURE BECAUSE OF THE UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES...
