Getting TO/AROUND: You can catch one of the tour buses at any stop every 10 minutes in SUMMER and every 20 minutes in WINTER. The round tours lasts approximately 2 hrs.15 min. with frequent daily departures. This really is PARIS AT YOUR LEISURE... Commentaries are in English and French, some tours are equally commented in Spanish, German, Italian or Japanese. 9 LES CARS ROUGES stop are scheduled. Your ticket is valid for 2 days and can be bought on the bus. You may break your tour(s) at any LES CARS ROUGES stop and continue later.. Price about 21 euros, children 10 euros. I shall give you the stops here: Tour Eiffel quay Branly, opposite Pont d'Iéna Champ de Mars av. Joseph Bouvard Musée du Louvre near Pont des Arts Notre Dame opposite 21 rue d'Arcole Musée d'Orsay 9 place Henri de Montherlant Opéra opposite 15 rue Scribe Champs Elysées - étoile opposite 156 av. des Champs Elysées Grand Palai av. Winston Churchill Trocadero corner av. Paul Doumer first departure: 9.50 last departure 17.40 bot ath the start of the tour at Tour Eiffel.

Getting TO/AROUND: This Thalys is the high speed train to and from Paris. You have to make reservations because no one is allowed to be standing upright during the ride. On board is a MOVING BAR where you can get all you need when hungry or thirsty! You can buy things and take to with you to your seat or enjoy it in the Bar. All major credit cards for payments in euros are accepted. Minimum amount 10 euros (VAT included) EXTRA SERVICE ITEMS: On board you can also buy A TICKET RATP for PARIS, a BRUSSEL/BRUXELLES MIVB/STIB TICKET and a AMSTERDAM STRIPPENKAART for the public transportation in those Cities..... On board the THALYS you can get Breakfast, Salads, Snacks, Sandwiches, and Hot Dishes....... It is a real pleasure to board this Thalys, it only is a pity that it is only 4 hrs. from my house to Paris, although...............

Getting TO/AROUND: A pleasure to travel by train but especially when that train is the THALYS......so fast!! Fantastic!! It rides from Amsterdam to several destinations in France and still further on.... It is the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) and you have to book seats in advance, you can't just board the train!

Getting TO/AROUND: riding through dusky Belgium and France.... These trips are so lovely and easy and I do enjoy them..... I know that Paris isn't far from Middelburg and there always is the THALYS......

I used to live in the MARAIS, so I'm glad to hear it is your favourite area in Paris. You've been so lucky for years to have the Thalys high speed trains to and from Paris. Now we finally have a fast ICE train from Frankfurt and a TGV from Stuttgart. | BROOKS Thu Aug 2, 2007 21:56 UTC
