It is situated near de Place de la République in the oldest part of Paris, 30 steps from the Metro, lots of shops in the neighbourhood and easy Metro connections and yet it is absolutely quiet in a narrow street..... Everything you need is there even a hairdryer in each shower/bathroom...
Unique Qualities: Quiet so you will have good nights after something from the minibar of down in the lovely lounge. There is an elevator which makes things much easier... It was great to stay there and I am sure I shall go back there in future......

** Hotel, so not expensive but it proved to be a fine one. It is situated on LA RIVE GAUCHE, the left bank of the river SEINE in the 14th arr.. It is in walking distance of the Tour Eiffel and the Hare MONTPARNASSE (Railway station) The Metro stop Pernety L13 is about 150 mtr. from the hotel, which is ideal.... Of course there is a public parking lot which will cost you about 17 euros per 24 hrs.. Parking somewhere in a street in Paris is very difficult, not to say impossible and.....you wouldn't be the first tourist who wouldn't be able to find the car back which is quite a problem....
Unique Qualities: The hotel has about 50 rooms. There is a reception desk and you can use lockers for free. There also is an elevator, a lounge and a simple breakfast buffet... The rooms are clean and have telephone, a television set and double glazing. Each room has a bathroom with bath/shower and a toilet.

This hotel is situated in DE MARAIS, the old jewish quartier in Paris. In a 17th century building it is one of the most comfortable hotels dans le Marais. The rooms have wooden shutters, always a nice bathroom with bath, wooden beams and antique furnishing. A real pleasure entereing such a room and I am sure you will say: wow or ooohhhh....
Unique Qualities: There are 30 rooms, all with colour TV, bathroom, telephone, minibar and there is an elevator..... This last item is the first thing I ask after because it is so important, especially when there are no picolos to help you carry your luggage..

It is a miracle that so few tourists know this fine hotel...... in the lounge is a wooden detal which is a most wonderful example of Art Nouveau. Man a film has been made here on this nice location.
Unique Qualities: From the rooms with antique furniture you have a fabulous view on the rue de Rivoli... You will feel at home here... There are 130 kamers. Your dog or cat may stay here too! Of course there is an elevator, yipee.....

This a really small but fine hotel with only 19 rooms. The bohémienlike Esmeralda is situated in the centre of the Student quartier Latin. It has an irresitable charm and that seduced the famous Jazz musician Chet Baker and the famous French singer Serge Gainsbourg to stay here. The best rooms have a view on NOTRE DAME......so make reservations in good time....
Unique Qualities: This hotel doesn't have an elevator but it deing not that high but that is more than compensated with the charm of the hotel and, let's be fair, we don't walk up and downs the stairs all day long, do we????

FROM THE TOPFLOOR AND THE BREAKFAST TERRACE YOU HAVE A PANORAMIC VIEW OVER THE ROOFS OF PARIS. Are rooms are comfortable...... There is a garden too!! to rest after a tiresome day strolling the boulevards. And.....an elevator... You would like a topfloor room: book in advance and in good time!!
Unique Qualities: I described the hotel above....but can add that there is an information desk for tourists which is very handy......... Good idea.....and....they know and you can trusts their advice given to you!

In this hotel they tried to revive the atmosphere of the BELLE EPOQUE. The hotel has a large patio with a pleasant fountain where you can have breakfast while the water of the fountain splashes.....

This is a wonderful and...very sought after hotel! It is situated near the Boulevard Hausmann where les GRANDS MAGASINS are.....in the very heart of the city. There are two ways to enter this sweet hotel: 10, boulevard Montmartre and at 46, passage Jouffroy......... It is a real must to book at least 2 month in advance.....more and more people discover this lovely place.......as we did.......
Unique Qualities: Friendly people, lovely and quiet rooms.......not too expensive

My room was on the fifth floor wit a nice view to the Boulevard Beaumarchand.... The hotel has an elevator, a nice breakfast hall (sous-sol ) and perfectly nice rooms: clean and pleasant, with hair dryer, telephone, television and minibar. Staff is very kind and speaks several languages..... Next time I will visit Paris this hotel will be a good place to book once again!
