Beachside relaxation

by austarman - last update: Feb 8, 2007

Beachside service in Samet. What a hard life! ;-)

Me at peace with the world in Ko Samet
Here on Vong Duen beach you can just raise 1 finger and have whatever it is you wish to eat or drink.
Here I am waiting for another pre-dinner beer Chang.
The white sands of Sai Kaew beach

The perfect sand of Sai Kaew beach

Sai Kiew is the longest and most popular beach on Koh Samet.
There are lots of resturants, resorts, bars and shops in behind this beach.
There are also lots of watersport type activity's that you can get involved in from here, like jetski, banana boat, snorkeling and speedboat tours.
However for me, the main thing about this beach is it's super-fine white powder-like sands and the crystal clear blue waters.
BEAUTIFUL!
A Thai story

A beachside Thai tale

At the southern end of Haad Sai Kaew on the rocks you will find these statues that are taken straight out of a Thai folk story.
I'm sorry I can't tell you much about it though unfortunatly.
They do stand out though at the end of the beach and look quite good.
