    A lot of people arrive in Katoomba wanting to post letters or buy some cornflakes, but cannot find either the postoffice or the supermarket. These are tucked away behind the facade of shops on Katoomba Street.

    Directions: Go down Katoomba Street until you see a laneway on your right. There are several, but try Penny Lane at the bottom of the hill. Go up this lane and you will find the Post Office on your left and the supermarket straight ahead.
