"Home Sweet Home" Bury by lousietee

I ran away from Bury when I was 18 and moved to Preston for 2 years for a very exciting time of my life I called University.

Hated my course, loved the life.

Bubble burst after 2nd year and Now i'm back in Bury.

Preston was the same as Bury........ god help me.

I love where I am from, cause we have a lot of green from the countryside with close links to Manchester (trams are fast and relatively cheap).

You might think, why was I dogging Bury so much?

Well,

cause I live here!

I can!

Bury has been famous for a lot of things, such as Sir Robert Peel (founder of the police and was a prime minister), Black Puddings, the Shakers (BFC) have scored the most goals in a FA cup final match ever (in about 19.02 or something, look it up).

It is also the proud home of Sol Viva, one of Bury's two amazing nightclubs.

The irony of that sentence knows no bounds.

I will try to find some pictures of Bury to put on this page, so you can see the wonders for yourself, but most of the time I take my camera out on drinking nights, so the pictures are of the interiors of Bury's pubs and Clubs (had to put plural there cause there is 2 clubs as mentioned before).

If anyone would like to see said photos please let me know, and I will add them to my pages, as I sound like an alchy anyway (especially if you have seen my cancun photo with mini beetlejuice, the eyes give it away) might as well have photographic evidence on the internet.
