Green Canyon by its name is a canyon and yes it is also green. The crystal clear river leading into the canyon is a stunning view with reflection of green lush vegetation growing on its rocky banks. The boat trip to the canyon takes about 15 minutes. At a point where you cannot go deeper into the canyon the boat is then parked and you can directly jump into the water and swim against the current further down the canyon that is covered with stalagnites and green vegetation.
There are some rocks rising above the water and there's at least 1 high enough for us to jump off into the water. I think it's about 4 to 5 m high. Twas pretty scary for the first time coz you have to climb up the rocky wall with no safety equipment just using ur hands and feet. Pretty much like rock climbing minus the equipments.
Water dripping down from vegetation above the canyon is called 'everlasting shower' with 'everlasting rainbow'. Yes even during the dry season water is continuously drippin. You can climb up a rock, take a cool shower there while watching a reflection of rainbows circling around you it's very very pretty.
The foliage covering the Canyon is a canopy of green fractals against the bright sky which is best viewed as you float on your back and let the current of the river take you where it will.
