Here you see the shilouette of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, with the river Rhine in front. The Bridge is "Konrad-Adenauer-Bridge" which connects the both cities Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. In the middle of the River is the border between Rhinland-Palatinate (Ludwigshafen) and Baden-Würrtemberg (Mannheim). The view is from the Mannheim side to Ludwigshafen. The Bridge consists since a few year of two bridges one for train and one for cars and trams.

Welcome to my City - Ludwigshafen am Rhein. I live here since 1971, the same year i was born at the other side of River Rhein in Mannheim. Because Mannheim and Ludwigshafen are only devided by the river Rhein, for me it is one big city. Now it's called the Metropol Region Rhein-Neckar, with all the other surrounding cities like Heidelberg, Speyer, Worms, Bad Dürkheim. Here is a lot to see and to do. Metropol Region Rhein-Neckar is Germany's 5th biggest economical area. Alone the chemical company BASF in Ludwigshafen hat ~ 40.000 Employees.
