To be quite honest, i wasn't expecting Banff National Park to be all that it was. I thought that it would be a nice place to spend a few days hiking in the mountains, which it was however I was completely blown away with the granduer and spectacular beauty of the park. This is without a doubt one of Canada's treasures.
There was so much to do that a week simply wasn't enough to see all that I wanted to see. For the adventure seeker, there is an endless supply of outdoor activities to partake in. Everything from a relaxing boatride to a flying down the rivers navigating class 5 rapids to to heli-hiking to remote, pristine places of indescribable beauty.
I am so glad that I've had a chance to visit the park. I've lived in Canada all my life and until now have never got the opportunity to experience the wonders of the Canadian Rockies. Take the opportunity to visit the park should you have the chance. You will leave in awe! |
| | Spirit Island located in neighbouring Jasper National Park, I couldn'tresist the drive to this iconic Canadian image. Breath takingingly gorgeous Spirit Island. |
