    • Although the actual name of the place we stayed in escapes me, I do have a photograph of the place. We had no reserations when we arrived in Hallstatt, we merely made arrangements with the girl who worked at the tourist information office. She called ahead to inquire about rooms and let them know we were on our way. the rooms in Hallstatt were more than affordable 20-30 Euros per night per person. We had our choice of three different places. We chose the room highest on the hill thinking it would have a spectacular view of the water, and we were not dissappointed.
