Yet More Castles!
Wet 'n Windy

Wales - its a country I hadn't visited for many years. Memories flood back of a motorbike touring trip in my late teens (alas no photos survive) Remember it has being wet, windy and wild. Also remember not being made to feel to welcome!
Anyway got the chance of some ridiculously cheap digs in Bangor, so decided to give it another try. With a more mature head, I was looking forward to seeing some of the history and monuments of North Wales.
Conclusion - great trip, shame about the weather!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:History, beaches, lakes and mountains
  • Cons:Can get a bit damp
  • In a nutshell:Go on give it a try!

Ever heard the phrase the rain was horizontal? Thats's North Wales for you. A place where even umbrellas don't do their jobs! LOL

Great castles and wonderful scenery. Wales certainly deserves a longer stay. Liked Conwy Castle best and the dovecot looks charming. And what about Puffin Island? You are a great tempter, Steve. Thanks for the virtual tour for the time being.
