As one of Liverpool's favourite sons, I suppose it is inevitable that you will find lots of items to remember him. This statue is to be found next to the Cavern Pub, just opposite the Cavern Club, where the Beatles performed some of their earlier gigs.

St George's Hall

St George's Hall is one of the many fine Georgian buildings to be found in Liverpool.
Completed in 1854, it represents the prosperity in Liverpool in the 19th century. A regular visitor to the hall was Charles Dickens who held many of his readings in the 'Small Concert Hall'. The interior is dominated by the main hall 169 feet long with a floor of Minton tiles which is normally protected from the feet of the day to day users, but opened to viewing usually once a year.

Radio City Tower, Liverpool

Radio City Tower

Standing 125 metres above the city centre, the Radio City Tower was constructed in 1965. Originally it housed a rotating restaurant, but this soon went out of business. It wasn't until 1990 that the local radio station took over the tower, which is now open to the public as an observation platform.
It is a landmark which is visible from all parts of the city.

Meeting point for tour is Queen Square Tourist information Centre.

In the city tou can see a live size statue of the beatles Yellow Submarine. It was originally constructed for the National Garden Festival of 1984, but has now been located to Chavasse Park in the cntre of the city.

In the docks area you can find the sculpture called Super Lamb Banana. It is a warning against the perils of genetic engineering and depicts a a cross between a lamb abd a banana.
Although painet yellow, it sometimes get hijacked by pranksters and painted in various other shades,
The SuperLambBanana is the work of the Japanese artist Taro Chiezo. Now based in Manhattan,Taro is one of his country’s most successful visual artists of the last fifteen years.
